AN ORDINANCE VACATING THAT PORTION OF CAROLINA
DRIVE BETWEEN5, LOTS 6, 7, AND 8, BLOCK 18
AND LOTS 1 THROUGH 4, INCLUSIVE, BLOCK 19,
PARK PLACE THIRD ADDITION, FORT WALTON BEACH,
OKALOOSA COUNTY, FLORIDA, PROVIDING THE EF-
FECTIVE DATE HEREOF.
WHEREAS, a public hearing in accordance with the Florida
Statutes was held pertaining to the closing and vacating a portion
of Carolina Drive in the City of Fort Walton Beach, and
WHEREAS, the City Council has deemed that it would be to the
best interest of the City of Fort Walton Beach and the residents
of the City to vacate and abandon that portion of the street.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
FORT WALTON BEACH, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1. That that portion of Carolina Drive between Lots
5 through 8, inclusive, Block 18 and Lots 1 through 4, inclusive,
Block 19, Park Place Third Addition according to the plat thereof
recorded in the official records in and for Okaloosa County, Florida,
all in the city limits of the City of Fort Walton Beach is hereby
vacated and abandoned.
SECTION 2. That this ordinance shall take effect 30 days
after its passage and approval by the Mayor.
