STATEMENT OF ISSUE: Bids were opened August 29, 2013. Three (3) bids were received.
The Sand Raker, LLC is the lowest responsive bidder meeting specifications for a total three (3)
year cost of $1,244,855.00 for Okaloosa Island and Destin beaches. (See attached tabulation)
BACKGROUND: This service is budgeted in the Tourist Development Department FY
2013/14 budget. (See attached budget sheet)
OPTIONS: Award or Reject
RECOMMENDATIONS: Staff has reviewed the bids and recommends awarding to The Sand
Raker LLC, they being the low bidder meeting specifications for a total 3 year cost of
$1,244,855.00 for Okaloosa Island and Destin beaches.
