COUNTRY CLUB ESTATES SUBDIVISION; PB 3 - 41; ( 8 WEDGEWOOD LANE N. E.); PROVIDING FOR AUTHORITY; PROVIDING FOR FINDINGS OF FACT, PROVIDING FOR PROPERTY ANNEXED; PROVIDING FOR EFFECT OF ANNEXATION; PROVIDING FOR MUNICIPAL BOUNDARY AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WALTON BEACH, FLORIDA AS FOLLOWS: av o SECTION I. AUTHORITY. The authority for enactment of this Ordinance is Section 2, of the City Charter; Section 166. 021 ( 1), Florida Statutes and Chapter 171 of the Florida Statutes. C; SECTION II. FINDINGS OF FACT. The City Council of the City of Fort vWalton Beach finds the following: csk C01> A. That an application for voluntary annexation was received by the Department of Community Development Services on April 2, 1999 from Gayle P. Starling; and, B. That the applicant has provided sufficient evidence of ownership of said property to be annexed; and, C. That said property is contiguous to the municipal boundaries of the City of Fort Walton Beach; is an area reasonably compact; and is unincorporated territory; and, n ter; D. That the Municipal Planning Board held a public hearing on July 1, 1999 and recommended approval of the annexation; and, y E. That notice of annexation was duly published once a week for ao two consecutive weeks, such dates being July 30, 1999 and August 5. 1999f in the Northwest Florida Daily News, a a newspaper published within the City of Fort Walton Beach. v F. Upon adoption, this Ordinance shall be filed with the Clerk of the Court of Okaloosa County and the Department of State. v -- SECTION III. PROPERTY ANNEXED. The Following Described Property is c c3 hereby annexed to the City of Fort Walton Beach. Q, 00 Lot 8; Block E; Country Club Estates Subdivision, according to the c thereof, in Plat book 3, Page 41, of the Public 3 plat Records of Okaloosa as recorded County, Florida. Page 1 of 2, Annexation Ordinance -- 8 Wedgewood Lane N.E.  SECTION IV. EFFECT OF ANNEXATION. A. The area annexed shall be to all laws, ordinances subject and regulations in force in the City Fort Walton Beach and of shall be entitled to the same privileges and benefits as other parts of the City of Fort Walton Beach upon the effective date of the annexation, B. The area annexed is subject to the Okaloosa County Comprehensive Plan and zoning regulations. Said regulations shall remain in full force and effect until the subject property is assigned a Comprehensive Plan Future Land Use designation and is rezoned by the City of Fort Walton Beach to comply with its TComprehensive Plan. SECTION V. MUNICIPAL BOUNDARY, The lines of municipal boundary Cl>r- the City of Fort Walton Beach shall hereby be effected to include the annexed property described herein. m rn 10 SECTION VI.
