A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER To PURCHASE
A NEW OR USED TRUCK~TRACTOR THE THE PURPOSE OF PULL®
ING THE CITY'S LOW~BOY AND AUTHORIZING SAID CITY MAN-
ager TO EXPEND SAID SUMS AS HE DEEMS NECESSARY UNDER
THE CONDITIONS OF THE CITY CHARTER FOR THE PURCHASE
OF SAID TRUDK-TRACTOR, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY,
WHEREAS, it is deemed necessary for the City t@ purchase a truck~
tractor for the purpose of pulling the city's lowboy, and proper equip-
ment is not on hand, md
WHEREAS, it is deemed expedient that the City Managerabe allowed
to make the best purchase possible under the terms of the City Char¥er.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL BF THE CITY oF
FORT WALTON BEACH, FLORIDA:
1. That the City Manager be and he is hereby authorized to pur
chase under the terms of the City Charter one truck~tractor, either new
or used, at the vest price available for use in the operation of the
lowboy arid other proper uses as required by the citye
2. That by reason for the urgent necessity of the above purchase
there is and urgent public needfor the preservation of the public peace,
health, safety and property requiring this resolution to take immediate
effect and it is, therefore, provided that this resolution shall be in
full force and effect immediately upon its adoption,
