A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF FORT WALTON BEACH REQUESTING THE STATE OF FLORIDA
DEPARTHBHT OF TRANSPORTATION PERMIT THE CITY TO ACTIVATE THE NORTHBOUND PHASE OF
THE US 98 ( STATE ROAD 30) AND PERRY AVEHUB IHTBRSECTION; AND PROVIDING AN
EPFBCTIVE DATE.
Post, Schuh & Jernigan, Inc. ( PBS& J) has concluded that
WHEREAS, Buckley,
the U. S. 98 ( State Road 30) and Perry Avenue intersection will be able to
accommodate the existing traffic once the northbound phase is restored; and
WHEREAS, the intersection will also be able to accommodate substantial
additional traffic in the future when more development and activities are going

WHEREAS, the existing intersection has a limited sight distance to the left
for vehicles exiting from the northbound approach; and
WHEREAS, the restoration of the northbound phase will help improve the

SECTION I: That City of Fort Walton Beach requests the Florida
