A RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE STATE ROAD DEPARTMENT
OF THE STATE OF FLORIDA TO RE- SURVEY CERTAIN INTER-
SECTIONS IN THE CITY OF FORT WALTON BEACH FOR THE
PURPOSE OF INSTALLING TRAFFIC SIGNAL DEVICES AT
SAID INTERSECTIONS, PROVIDING THE EFFECTIVE DATE
HEREOF.
WHEREAS, there have been several serious accidents at
intersections to be described hereinafter within the City of
Fort Walton Beach recently, and
WHEREAS, the installation of traffic signal devices in the
following intersections would indeed reduce the number of traffic
accident s
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WALTON
BEACH, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1. That the City of Fort Walton Beach hereby
requests the State Road Department, State of Florida, to re-
survey the following intersections in the City of Fort Walton
Beach, Okaloosa County, Florida, for the purpose of installing
traffic signal devices in order to eliminate traffic accidents:
a) At the intersection of Hollywood Boulevard
and Beal Street
b) At the intersection of State Road 85 and
Third Street and Perry Boulevard
c) At the intersection of State Road 85 and
Second Street
SECTION 2. This Resolution being of an administrative
nature shall take full force and effect immediately upon its passage
and approval by the Mayor.
