ANOTHER GREAT TIME ON THE EMERALD COAST!
We are all set for another fantastic Emerald Coast Fall Classic
right here on the best beaches in the world! Just as it has been for
the past few years our Presenting Sponsor is the Emerald Coast
Convention and Visitors Bureau. They are very supportive of all
our Emerald Coast Volleyball events so whenever you think
about coming to the beach (or telling anyone else to come to the
beach), think of the “Emerald Coast” of Florida!

BACK TO HELEN BACK!
Chris, the owner of Helen Back Café on Okaloosa Island
called and asked us, “Hey, where are you guys? We miss
you! Come on back!” Well, we missed him too, so we are
returning to Helen Back Café for our Thursday night, Warm
Up party!
Cold Beer! Hot Pizza! Located right on the Intracoastal Wa-
terway just down the street from all our host hotels and con-
dos, Helen Back is hard to beat! See you there Thursday
night!
SATURDAY NIGHT!
After an UNBELIEVABLE Saturday night Party last fall,
The Swamp management told us, “We don’t need no stinking
band! Bring on the DJs! Once again DJ Roueche and DJ
Chubby will be onstage to set the groove ALL NIGHT! Just
remember, you still have playoffs Sunday morning!
COSTUME CONTEST MOVES TO SATURDAY
NIGHT!
Last fall, because of weather, we moved our Costume Con-
test to Saturday night. Who knew how much fun that would
be! Also because of the nature of the public beach access
around Center Court we restricted the Emerald Coast Volley-
ball Week Costume Contest to PG rating only!
Well, no problems this time! We are once again holding the
Fall Classic Costume Contest at the Saturday Night Player’s
Party on stage in The Swamp! DJ Roueche will be onstage to
provide the vibe and, if you like, you may break out your
more risqué costumes. R rating only please! No X or XX
costumes allowed and PLEASE, NO animal acts!
Because we are allowing an R rated Costume Contest all
children under the age of 18 WILL be REQUIRED to leave
The Swamp before we start at 9:00 pm.
THE REALLY BIG NEWS!!
Because we are moving the Thursday night party back to
Helen Back, the folks at Fudpuckers on the
Island said they want to put all their energies
into creating the BEST Sunday Night party in
history! And, in anticipation of the biggest
Sunday night crowd ever, they’re expanding
the party to include FudPuckeronis, Fud-
Shuckers, and their BACK PARKING LOT!
And, you ask, what’s a parking lot without a
tailgate party? Well, we are honored to present
the FIRST ANNUAL FUDPUCKER-WANNABE TAIL-
GATE PARTY! You will experience for yourself the full
impact of a Wannabe tailgate party WITHOUT having to
actually go to an LSU game! The Wannabe RV is going to be
parked behind Fud’s and there will be plenty of Volley Pong,
Corn hole games and just plain fun outside in the parking lot
all night long!
Of course, what’s a party without great music, so DJ
Roueche will be on stage setting the vibe. There will be plen-
ty of cold beer and hot gumbo! And, there is a rumor that a
special drink called the “Wannabe” will be offered (but no
one is exactly saying what is in it).
If that’s not enough, the Sunday Night NFL game featuring
the Cleveland Browns vs the New England Patriots will be
cranking in Fudpuckeronis on their 1,000 TV screens.
DIVISION NEWS
Due to the tremendous popularity of Coed here at Fuds,
we are adding both Coed divisions to all of our tourna-
ments. This last spring the coed divisions were by far our
most popular and are really in keeping with our philoso-
phy here at Fuds, “Have a good time!”
Coed teams must have two men and two women. There
can be two substitutes of either gender on a team, but there
must always be two men and two women on the court dur-
ing play.
After having a full pool last spring we are going to try to
have a Women’s Senior division once again this fall. All
of the Old Bags, uh, women that played in the Seniors
loved it and asked to bring it back again! All team mem-
bers must be at least 40 years old at the time of the tourna-
ment to play in Sr division and Mike will be checking
ID’s!
