The use of chlorine is required by many of our potable water and wastewater permits from FDEP. OCWS staff have reviewed the bids received for delivery of chlorine disinfection products (Bid WS 43-13). We recommend bid award to Harcross Chemicals, Inc., they being the lowest responsive and responsible bidder. We consider the bid from Aaron OPP Chemicals to be non-responsive as they only bid on one item in the bid package, the 100 pound drums of granular, which we seldom order or use. The unit prices for the bid from Harcross are listed in the email from Mark Wise below and also in the .pdf file of the Harcross bid, which is attached to this email. We have also attached .pdf files of the bid tab and copies of our approved FY2013 budget, which show the accounts used to pay for the purchase of chlorine disinfection products. Please let us know if you have any questions or need anything else from us. Jeff Littrell, Director Okaloosa County Water & Sewer System 1804 Lewis Turner Blvd, Suite 300 Ft.
