January 11, 2013 Okaloosa County Commissioners Chairman Don Amunds 1804 Lewis Turner Boulevard Ft Walton Beach, FL 32547 Re: Okaloosa Gas District Board of Directors Over the past 26 years it has been my privilege to serve as the County representative on the Okaloosa County Gas District Board of Directors. This honor is one that | enjoyed, while taking my obligations to the customers very seriously during my tenure. This past Tuesday at the City of Fort Walton bi-monthly meeting, the council appointed me to represent the citizens of the city due to my re-election for the next four years. This letter is to tender my resignation as the County representative effective January 31, 2013. | want to explain my reason for this resignation; | started as a member of the Gas Board in 1965 representing the citizens of Fort Walton Beach which | did for many years. | was fortunate to be appointed by the Board of County Commissioners after my time with the city terminated. | appreciated the opportunity to serve the customers all these years while also representing the taxpayers of Okaloosa County. | started with the city and would like to finish my service at the Gas Company representing the city. | was appointed for a four year term which | hope with God’s grace will allow me to serve to duration. Once again thank you for your confidence in me all these years, | know you will appoint a new member who has the Gas Companies best interest at heart and the taxpayers of Okaloosa County. Sincerely, Ube , Jr.
