BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS
AGENDA REQUEST
DATE: October 20, 2015
TO: Honorable Chairman and Members of the Board
FROM: Elliot Kampert
SUBJECT: Approval of Designation of Authority for FTA Systems User Manager
DEPARTMENT: Growth Management
BCC DISTRICT: All
STATEMENT OF ISSUE: In order to utilize Federal Transit Authority grant funds, it is
necessary to enter and maintain data in the Federal Transit Administration's (FTA) TEAM and
TrAMS data management systems to which access must be specifically authorized by the Board
of County Commissioners.
BACKGROUND: The Board of County Commissioners initially designated its TEAM users in
2006. Staff changes or duties necessitate the submission of a new Designation of Signature
Authority to ensure that the appropriate staff have access to the system. This is an update of
User Managers to the existing Designation of Authority. This authority allows creating,
modifying and deactivating accounts for employees of Okaloosa County BoCC. This authority
also grants access in FTA's TEAM and TrAMS data management and reporting systems.
RECOMMENDATIONS: Staff recommends that the Board of County Commissioners
authorize the Chairman to sign the Designation of Authority for FTA Systems User Manager
form for TEAM and TrAMS data management and reporting for submission to FTA.
