STATEMENT OF ISSUE: Cancellation of March 18 public hearing regarding Transit Route
33.
BACKGROUND: During its meeting of February 18, 2014 the Board of County
Commissioners set a public hearing for March 18 to consider discontinuance of Transit Route 33
serving the US 98 Corridor in the event the City of Destin was unable to provide funds to
continue this route past March 29, 2014. As the City approved such funds during its meeting of
February 18, there is no need for the hearing.
OPTIONS: The Board may cancel or hold the public hearing.
RECOMMENDATIONS: Staff recommends that the Board of County Commissioners cancel
the public hearing as it is no longer needed.
