STATEMENT OF ISSUE: The Board of County Commissioners previously approved
Robinson Road for paving. A total of four Warranty Deeds and one Quit Claim Deed have been
obtained from landowners providing the County the needed right-of-way to complete the project.
BACKGROUND: Robinson Road has been considered for paving for quite some time dating
back to the proposed CR 393 extension. The majority of the needed right-of-way was acquired
in the 1980's. Over the past couple of years, the remaining parcels needed to move forward with
the project were obtained and are now being presented to the Board of County Commissioners
for acceptance and recording. These five deeds grant the county the necessary right-of-way to
complete the dirt-to-pave conversion of Robinson Road from SR 85 to the Alabama State line.
Crews have already mobilized to the site and clearing work has already commenced. Depending
on weather and unplanned projects, it is anticipated that the project will last approximately
another 6 weeks.
OPTIONS: Approve/Disapprove the acceptance and recording of right-of-way deeds for the
Robinson Road dirt-to-pave project.
