SUBJECT: 2014 Striping List

STATEMENT OF ISSUE: Public Works staff provides a list of roads annually to the Board of
County Commissioners for consideration and approval to the roadway striping replaced.
Selection of the roads varies on numerous factors such as road use and geometry. Staff this year
has received numerous request to focus on School Zones, Crosswalks and Stop Bars.
BACKGROUND: Gulf Coast Traffic Engineering Inc., is the contractor tasked with providing
annual road re-striping techniques based upon staff recommendation for roads within the County
maintenance system.
OPTIONS: Approve/Disapprove
RECOMMENDATIONS: Request approval of for C12-1990-PW along with the associated
road list to move forward with scheduling and performing the work.
