I will be in Utah & Wyoming 4 - 16 August. ( 35th Wedding Anniversary). I will be available any day 21 - 25 July or 28 July - 1 August. If none of those dates work I will prepare a white paper with my position on a proposed mileage rate... however, that doesn' t help with my vote. Perhaps this council should take another look at virtual attendance & virtual voting as approved by the A. G, and used throughout the rest of the modern business world, to bring us into the 21st Century ... Oh! we are already in the 21st Century. Jim Joyce Shanahan < jshanahan @fwb. org> wrote: Good Evening All: After our Council meeting on Tuesday, July 8th, the City received the attached letter from the property appraiser certifying the preliminary property values; the date of the letter is July 9th. That being said, 35 days from July 9th would require the City to provide back to the property appraiser the DR - 420 form by close of business on Tuesday August 12th. This will not give the City enough time to review this matter at our City Council Meeting on August 12th. Therefore, I will ask the City Clerk to contact Council to determine your availability for a special meeting on Monday August 11th at 5: 30 pm or Tuesday, August 5th at 5: 30 pm. I apologize for the inconvenience, but we are required to provide the tentative millage to the property appraiser within the required 35 day timeline. Please contact me should you have any questions.
