AERIAL DEVICE PAINT COLOR All aerial device ladder components above the rotation point that are not chrome plated or stainless steel shall have a natural swirl finish. All buy out components, such as monitor, nozzle, gauges, etc. shall be supplied as received from the vendor. Turntable, console, lift cylinders, and extension cylinders shall be sanded to remove any metal flakes and smooth any rough surfaces. These components shall be prime painted with an Page 83 of 93  14.2. b epoxy primer and finished painted with a durable, high quality paint (manufacturer's standar brand). The support structure, rotation motor, components below the rotation point, and the stabilizers shall be painted high gloss black. The tip of the ladder shall be painted a contrasting color for high visibility. Meets Exceeds Comments: 308. REFLECTIVE STRIPES Two (2) reflective stripes shall be provided across the front of the vehicle and along the sides of the body. The reflective band shall consist of a 3.00" blue stripe at the top with a 1. 00" gap, then a 10. 00" white stripe on the bottom. Meets Exceeds Comments: o 309. CHEVRON STRIPING, REAR There shall be alternating chevron striping located on the rear -facing vertical surface of the apparatus. Covered surfaces shall include the rear wall and aluminum doors. Roll up doors, stainless steel access doors, and the center rear wall behind the access steps shall not be LL W covered in chevron. The colors shall be red and fluorescent yellow green diamond grade. a Each stripe shall be 6. 00" in width.
