The vehicle is provided through Sunbelt Fire, Inc., the authorized sales and service representative for E -One, Inc. in the state of Florida. Please see the list of E -One users which is located in the General Information section of the proposal. The general construction of the apparatus will give due consideration to the nature and distribution of the load to be sustained and the general character of the service to which the apparatus is to be subjected when placed in service. The general design and construction will be of the latest modern type and be fully modular for transfer of the body to another chassis without cutting or welding and be in accordance with the best fire fighting apparatus engineering and practice. Standards Compliance The apparatus will conform to the National Fire Protection Association Standards 1901, 1914 and 1071, in their most recent edition, as applicable to the specified vehicle, unless otherwise specified in this document. Proposal Submission A complete detailed specification has been prepared and included in the Proposal section of this document. This proposal describes in detail the vehicle which will be provided if we are the successful bidder. Evaluation Standards The buyer is the sole judge in determining compliance with the specifications. The purchaser retains the right to reject any or all bid proposals and purchase the equipment it deems most suitable to its needs. The purchaser is not obligated to accept the lowest or any bid. Emergency One, Inc. operates a Quality Management System under the requirements of ISO 9001. These standards sponsored by the " International Organization for Standardization ( ISO)" specify the quality systems that will be established by the manufacturer for design, manufacture, installation and service of products. A copy of the certificate of compliance is included in the Certification section of the bid. Buyer Protection Emergency One, Inc. will defend any and all legal suits and assume all liability for any and all claims made against the purchaser and /or any of its officials or agents for the use of any patented process, device or article forming a part of the apparatus or any other appliance furnished under the contract. Warranties Emergency One, Inc. offers a one ( 1) year full parts and labor on the complete apparatus. A copy of each warranty supplied by Emergency One, Inc. is provided in Warranty section of the bid. If said estimated delivery date cannot be complied with, the Purchasing Director will be notified in writing of the reason for failure to comply. This bid includes prepaid delivery. A factory trained representative will deliver the unit, unless factory acceptance and instruction is preferred. The representative will be prepared to familiarize the fire department personnel with the operation and maintenance of the apparatus. The responsibility for the apparatus and equipment remains with the manufacturer until satisfactory completion of acceptance test and formal acceptance of the apparatus is made. Apparatus, to insure proper break -in of all components while still under warranty, will be delivered under its own power. Rail or truck freight is not acceptable. Prepayments Prepayments are not a requirement of this bid. Exceptions All exceptions taken are listed on the Exceptions page included in the Proposal section of this document. Minor details of construction and materials, where not otherwise specified, are left to the discretion of the contractor who will be solely responsible for the design and construction of all features. Bonding A 10% bid bond has been provided with this proposal. A 100% performance and payment bond will be provided upon contract award. Single Source In order to protect the Purchaser from divided warranty responsibility between chassis and body manufacturers, Emergency One, Inc. will design, fabricate, and assemble the complete apparatus at their own facilities. This will include the cab shell, chassis assembly, aerial, and complete body structure. Engine Certification An engine installation certification as required by the specifications from Cummins is included in the Certification section of the proposal. Certification Emergency One, Inc. will furnish a third party testing labs Certificate of Approval. Sunbelt Fire, Inc. has full time EVT certified maintenance technicians in compliance with NFPA 1071 classifications F - 2 through F -6 on staff to provide service. On -site service will be the primary mode of maintenance and warranty repair to
