Mearns, City Manager From: Jeff Peters, Recreational and Cultural Services Director Date: April 26, 2011 Subject: Golf Course Maintenance Equipment 1. Background: 1. 1 The FY 2010 -11 budget for the Golf Course Maintenance Division includes sufficient funding for leasing maintenance equipment including two ( 2) greens mowers and one ( 1) rough mower. 1. 2 Council approved a loan agreement between the City and Hancock Bank on April 12, 2011 to provide funding to finance the purchase of the golf equipment. 2. Discussion: 2. 1 The Toro Groundmaster 3280 -D Rough Mower will replace a 2002 model with 5, 800 hours. This mower is out of service and will be stripped for parts. 2. 2 The John Deere Hybrid Diesel Mowers will replace two greens mowers purchased in 2003 with 6, 100 and 5, 800 hours. These mowers will be sold at auction upon replacement. 2. 1 The equipment will be delivered within thirty (30) days. 3. Financial Information: 3. 1 The total cost of the equipment is $ 74, 900. 11. Financing for the purchase of the equipment will be via the issuance of the Capital Improvement Revenue Note, Series 2011, as approved by City Council on April 12, 2011. 3. 2. The estimated annual debt service payment is $ 17, 178, which is included in the current year budget. 4.
