Hi Brenda,
My apologies for the delayed response. |thought we were waiting on additional information from Contracts and
Grants. | agree that we should include the 2-year opt out in the Purchasing Manual revisions and that such election
should be retroactive to October 1, 2015, which would require the County to adopt the new procurement standards by
September 30, 2017. Rather than waiting on the full revisions to the Purchasing Manual, | would recommend presenting
this change separately (similar to what we recently did for FTA compliance).
On a separate note, section L of the Purchasing Manual (page 23) lists dollar thresholds which trigger compliance with
CCNA. However, the amounts listed are outdated and significantly more stringent than Florida Statutes. Perhaps we
can present these two changes in one agenda item. Thoughts?
