Resolution 06-26 A RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR THE COMPENSATION OF THE FINANCE DIRECTOR OF THE CITY OF FORT WALTON BEACH; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WALTON BEACH, FLORIDA: SECTION I. COMPENSATION A. That an annual salary of $ 90, 000 is hereby established for the position of Finance Director. B. Retirement Contributions: As per City Ordinance No. 1526, the City will pay the employer and employee ( member) contributions ( 5%) associated with the Finance Director' s participation in the General Employees' Retirement Plan. C. Auto Allowance: The City will compensate the Finance Director $ 1, 200 annually for a auto allowance. Payments shall be calculated and made over twenty- four pay periods. D. Phone Allowance: The Finance Director will be issued a City cell phone for use for business and limited personal calls as is consistent with the City' s Personnel Rules and Regulations. E. Insurance Premiums: Participation in the City' s medical, dental and life insurance programs shall be the same as all other City employees and consistent with the City' s Personnel Rules and Regulations. F. Relocation Expenses: The City will reimburse the Finance. Director up to 3, 500 for direct moving expenses upon submission of receipts. If the Finance Director resigns in 12 months she shall reimburse the City for 100% of the moving costs; if she should resign in 24 months, she shall reimburse the City for 50% of the costs within thirty days of her notice of resignation. The City shall be permitted to withhold such costs from any final payment owed to the Finance Director. G. Professional Membership/ Conference: The City shall pay for membership in professional organizations consistent with that of all employees. The City shall pay travel costs and conference fees for attendance at one professional conference each year. H. Other Benefits: The Finance Director will continue to be eligible for other City benefits not limited to vacation/sick leave, holidays, payment for professional development and continuing education training and all other benefits 006- 06 1  provided to all other City employees consistent with the City' s Personnel Rules and Regulations, as may be amended from time to time SECTION II. ADJUSTMENT That the compensation of the Finance Director, like that of the City Clerk, shall be reviewed annually during City Council budget workshop and shall be amended, if appropriate, at the consensus of City Council during such budget workshop. SECTION III. EFFECTIVE DATE This Resolution shall take effect upon approval by Council and signature by the Mayor.
