RESOLUTION 2022- 2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WALTON BEACH, FLORIDA, ACCEPTING FUNDING THROUGH AAA OF FLORIDA FOR TRAFFIC SAFETY EQUIPMENT; AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE THE ACCEPTANCE AUTHORIZING A BUDGET AMENDMENT; AND PROVIDING AN DOCUMENT( S); EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the AAA of Florida provides funding to improve traffic safety; and WHEREAS, the City is eligible to participate in this competitive grant program and has applied for and been awarded a project total of$ 8, 000 ($ 8, 000 grant funds and$ 0 City match) for Traffic Safety Equipment for the Fort Walton Beach Police Department; and WHEREAS, City Council finds that it is in the best interest of the citizens of Fort Walton Beach to participate in the AAA Traffic Safety Grant. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WALTON BEACH, FLORIDA THAT: Section 1. City Council hereby authorizes the Mayor to execute the grant award; the City Manager to execute all necessary documents to complete grant-related purchases; and a budget amendment to record the grant within the General Fund. Budget Amendment for Grant Funds: Expense Revenue 102- 1579- 521- 5200 8, 000 102- 1579- 331- 2000 8, 000 Project Number: AAATSE Section 2.
