111 MINUTES OF THE CITY COUNCIL SPECIAL MEETING OF THE CITY OF FORT WALTON BEACH, FLORIDA MARCH 15, 2010 INTRODUCTION A Special Meeting of the City Council of Fort Walton Beach, Florida, was held on Monday, March 15, 2010, at 2:00 pm in the Council Chambers at City Hall, with the following members present: Mayor Mike Anderson Councilmen: Mike Holmes, Dennis Reeves, Bill Garvie, Bobby Nabors, and Dick Rynearson Absent: Bill Patterson Seat 2 Vacant Also Present: Robert Mearns, City Manager; Brandy Wunker, Finance Director; Police Chief Ted Litschauer; Capt. Darrell Bruhn; Fran Diedrich; Human Resources Director; Toni Craig, City Attorney; and Labor Attorney Mike Mattimore CALL TO ORDER/ PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE The Mayor called the meeting to order and led in the Pledge of Allegiance. APPROVAL OF AGENDA Mr. Garvie moved to approve the agenda as the business of the day. Mr. Reeves seconded motion and it carried unanimously with Holmes, Reeves, Garvie, Nabors, and Rynearson in favor (Seat 2 Vacant, Patterson absent). RECESS SPECIAL MEETING The Special Meeting was recessed at 2:03 pm to convene the Executive Session. CONVENE EXECUTIVE SESSION The Executive Session was convened at 2: 03 pm to receive the advice of counsel concerning the review of the contract proposed by the Fraternal Order of Police. ADJOURN EXECUTIVE SESSION The Executive Session adjourned at 3:04 p. m. The entire Executive Session will be transcribed by a certified court reporter and filed with the City Clerk. The transcript of the Executive Session will be made a part of the public record upon the conclusion of the above -referenced issue RECONVENE SPECIAL MEETING The Special Meeting was reconvened at 3: 04 pm.
