Backqround
City Council called a special meeting on February 6, 2006 to approve a Resolution
vigorously opposing any of the bridge options under consideration by the Emerald
Coast Bridge Authority. This Resolution was submitted to the Bridge Authority at their
meeting on February 7, 2006.
Discussion
At the City Council Meeting on February 28, 2006, City Council made a motion that was
appropriately seconded to draft a resolution asking Okaloosa County to place an item
on a non- referendum in the fall, asking the citizens their desire regarding the
binding
bridge.
Conclusion
A draft Resolution is attached for Council' s consideration. Also attached as information
are minutes transcribed verbatim from the February 28, 2006 Council Meeting when this
issue was discussed.
