BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS AGENDA REQUEST DATE: October 20, 2015 TO: Honorable Chairman and Members of the Board FROM: Don Vanderhoek SUBJECT: ESRI ArcGIS Licensing Maintenance renewals DEPARTMENT: Information Systems BCC DISTRICT: ALL STATEMENT OF ISSUE: The Board is requested to approve payment in the amount of $34,900.00 to ESRI for multiple ArcGIS licensing maintenance renewals with a Start Date of 10/01/15 and an end date of 09/30/16. BACKGROUND: For over 20 years Okaloosa County has been purchasing licensing from Environmental Systems Research Institute, Inc. (ESRI). This software and licensing is used by various County offices, including GIS, Growth Management, Public Works and the Property Appraiser’s office. Due to the move of the Information Technology Department to new offices in Shalimar, a requisition could not be entered on time. In order to prevent a lapse in technical support and updates to the software the Board is requested to authorize the Information Technology Director sign the ESRI Quotation as Authorized Representative so an invoice can be generated. The Board is also requested to authorize Finance to pay the invoice upon receipt as a Direct Payment. OPTIONS: Approve/Disapprove RECOMMENDATIONS: Staff recommends the Board approve the Information Technology Director sign the ESRI Quotation in order to generate an invoice and authorize Finance to pay the invoice as a Direct Payment.
