Association Management: The Chambers main responsibility for the Downtown Merchants is to assist in the organization and agreement of co operative efforts. This process consists of monthly meetings held at the chamber, and regular emails to all businesses listing upcoming activities that require participation. ( Important to note that over half of the businesses in downtown are not chamber members yet still receive many of the benefits of chamber membership as a result of our commitment to the promotion of Downtown) Chamber commitment: Staff time, Chamber conference room rental. 2. Marketing Task Force -A separate smaller volunteer task force comprised of Downtown merchants also meets monthly -in advance of the larger merchant wide meeting -to create an agenda of possibilities for downtown involvement.
