The ballistic rifle plates purchased with grant funds will be assigned to individual uniform deputies
who were previously outfitted/assigned a ballistic shield that, because of a funding gap, were never

incidents. This equipment will be part of the individual deputy’s assigned equipment and
entered/tracked in the agency inventory tracking system for accountability.
The specialized electronic equipment purchased with grant funds will be assigned to the criminal
investigations division and used by the property crimes and/or street crimes unit to conduct
undercover operations targeting property crimes and lower “street” level drug distributors.
