-11- Minute Book 72, Page 82 Okaloosa County Board of County Commissioners Mr. Goodwin questioned the delineation of common spaces used under one footprint with two tenants. He asked if the county would be in violation of the lease if it tore down one of the building wings. Mr. Boyles asked if he needs to withdraw his motion and asked Mr. Goodwin if he has discussed these concerns with staff. Mr. Windes recommended the commissioners move on. Mr. Goodwin said the drawings are not to scale of the leased space. Mrs. Ketchel agreed, saying she has walked through this building. She also stated she will be meeting with Elder Services to discuss their concerns/issues. Mrs. Ketchel said perhaps this item should be tabled until the next meeting. After continued discussion, Mr. Windes said he believes there will be flexibility on both sides and called the vote. Mr. Boyles asked for staff to comment, specifically, if they are comfortable with the amended lease as written. Mr. Turner replied “yes,” adding there will be a firewall separating the lessee spaces from the county side of the building. He explained that the Fire Marshal requires the spaces be separated.
