Mr. Elliot Kampert, Growth Management Director, responded by saying the Board begins looking at it budget in February. He stated public transportation, fixed route and paratransit services are provided by Okaloosa County Transit (OCT). He stated when the Board approves the budget, it 1is approving transportation as proposed by OCT. OCT must remit monthly bills and provide supporting documents. With regard to 1level of service, Mr. Kampert advised that is established by ridership, the economy, and approved routes. Upon further inquiry by Mr. Goodwin, Mr. Kampert stated the routes are established by what we can afford. COUNTY EXTENSION - NEW STAFFING PLAN Mr. Larry Williams, County Extension Director, requested approval to add one County Extension Agent position as part of a new cooperative staffing plan agreement between the University of Florida and Okalocsa and Walton Counties. He explained that during the summer of 2014, Walton County had an open Agriculture Extension Agent position and Okaloosa County had an open Family & Consumer Sciences (FCS) Extension position. A new cooperative staffing plan was discussed for an Agriculture Extension Agent position and FCS Agent position to become multicounty positions. Mr. Williams stated there would be no additional costs in salary for either Okaloosa or Walton Counties with this proposal. He explained that instead of Okaloosa paying 40% for one position the split would be 60% University of Florida, 20% Okaloosa County, and 20% Walton County.
