STATEMENT OF ISSUE: The Board of County Commissioners is requested to approve final
payment to Cathey Construction & Development, LLC in the amount of $84,993.00 (includes
retainage).
BACKGROUND: The construction contract for the Cell Phone Waiting Area project at VPS was
issued on May 6, 2014 to Cathey Construction & Development, LLC and the Notice-to-Proceed was
issued on May 13, 2014. The Final Completion Inspection was completed on June 11, 2014. All
punch-list items have been addressed to the satisfaction of the Engineer of Record and the County.
All required project closeout forms have been provided by the contractor.
OPTIONS: Approve, Reject or Table
RECOMMENDATIONS: Airport staff recommends the Board approve the final payment in
the amount of $84,993.00 to Cathey Construction Development, LLC.
