Jack Allen From: Jim Reece Sent: Tuesday, September 30, 2014 7:55 AM To: Jack Allen Ce: Zan Fedorak; Jason Autrey; John Vaughn Subject: RE-BID-30-14 Jack, Since the issuance of this bid we have encountered significant increased cost resulting from the fueling system proposed by Okaloosa Gas. That capital investment and the fact that the bids came in significantly higher than originally anticipated has put us in the position of needing to put on hold out attempts to convert to CNG until such time that the return on investment makes it justifiable. Therefore, we need to request to cancel the bids under RE-BID-30-14 and to prepare bid specs for a conventional diesel roll-off in FY 15. | will submit a new purchase requisition and John Vaughn will prepare the specific vehicle specs. Please let me know if there is anything else we need to do. Thank you, Jim dim Reece, CHMM Okaloosa County Recycling Office (850) 609-6168 jreece@co.okaloosa.fl.us Please note; Due to Florida’s very broad public records laws, most written communications to or from County employees regarding County business are public records, available to the public and media upon request.
