OLD BUSINESS - COMMISSIONER PARISOT’S RECENT TRIP TO NRDA
TRUSTEE COUNCIL MEETING
Mr. Parisot stated he attended the meeting of the Natural
Resource Damage Assessment (NRDA) Trustee Council on July 25 in
Pensacola. He made comments to the Council in four areas:
slowness of early restoration, streamlining the federal
permitting processes, reminded NRDA Council there are eight
counties in Florida eligible for Early Restoration funds, and
asked for reconsideration of doing coastal stormwater project
with Early Restoration funding.
OLD BUSINESS - APPOINTMENT OF CITIZEN REPRESENTATIVE TO 2013 VAB
Mr. Amunds stated staff did advertise for citizens interested in
serving on the Value Adjustment Board (VAB) to submit letters of
interest. He advised one application has been received and that
is from Gary Overdier of Destin. Mr. Harris made motion,
seconded by Mr. Parisot, to appoint Mr. Overdier as the citizen
appointee to the 2013 VAB. 5 yeas.
OLD BUSINESS - UPDATE ON RISK ASSESSMENT
Mr. Padgett stated he did receive an email from Steven Riggs on
Friday. He said the interviews have been completed with the
exception of IT. Mr. Padgett said Mr. Riggs anticipates setting
appointments with the commissioners and himself early next week.

August 20 meeting agenda.
