STATEMENT OF ISSUE: Bids were opened on August 8, 2013. Bids were received from three
(3) companies (see attached tabulation). Electric Motor Repair Service (Fort Walton Beach, FL) is
the low bidder meeting specifications and as per the rates submitted. If each motor in the water &
sewer systems were repaired at the bid pricing, the cost would be $86,502.00 to rewind all units, or
$102,223.00 to recondition and rewind all units.
OPTIONS: Approve or Reject
RECOMMENDATIONS: Staff recommends approval to award to Electric Motor Repair
Service.
