BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS AGENDA REQUEST DATE: January 20, 2015 TO: Honorable Chairman and Members of the Board FROM: Ed Schroeder SUBJECT: Genesis Contract Amendment DEPARTMENT: Tourist Development Department BCC DISTRICT: All STATEMENT OF ISSUE: Request approval for Chairman to sign Amendment 1 to Genesis Master Services Agreement, contract C14-2158-TDD. BACKGROUND: While performing work under the basic services of the master services agreement, it was determined that sub-consultant services for facilities and construction materials testing and assessment is needed, specifically for façade and roof leak detection at the Emerald Coast Convention Center. These services are contemplated within the basic scope of services of the master services agreement, but there is not an appropriate sub-consultant listed in Genesis’ response to the RFP. Therefore, Genesis requests the contract be amended to include Terracon as the sub-consultant for Facilities, Environmental, Geotechnical and Construction Materials Testing. OPTIONS: Approve or Disapprove RECOMMENDATION: Approve Amendment 1 to Genesis Master Services Agreement, contract C14-2158-TDD, and authorize the Chairman to sign.
