This festival has become the premier Native American Music and Art event in the southeast. Musical Echoes draws over 20,000 people to the Landing each year with visitors coming here from other areas around the country as well as overseas for the entire week to be a part of this great event. We also reach thousands of people world- wide with out Internet broadcast. As you know, for the past five years we have worked with Main Street through its event program. Now, we have made Musical Echoes a part of the Muscogee Nation of Florida,a 501- C3 Corporation, as their Cultural Events arm. They have been acting as the host tri~ for the past five years. Funding Request: Cash Sponsorship: $ 8,000.00. These funds will be used for advertising, programs and entertainment support. In kind services for the use of The Landing and Ft.Walton Beach Municipal Auditorium, and for Fire, Police and Public Works. The Musical Echoes Board is an all volunteer group that receives no payment for their services and all funds go to support this family event. Our goal is to continue to focus on the Indian Temple Mound and Downtown Ft. Walton Beach through Native Americ and Music. The relationship between the City of Fort Walton Beach and the MainStreet organization has contributed greatly to the ever improving business climate within the district as well as continuing to provide social and cultural events for the enjoyment of our residents and visitors.
