RESOLUTION NO. 13-___
A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS OF OKALOOSA COUNTY, FLORIDA,
REPLACING AND APPOINTING A MEMBER TO THE
OKALOOSA COUNTY TOURIST DEVELOPMENT
COUNCIL; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 125.0104, Florida Statutes, the Board of County
Commissioners (“Board”) adopted Ordinance 89-23 in 1989 and established the Okaloosa
County Tourist Development Council (“Council”); and
WHEREAS, in Resolution 13-61, the Okaloosa County Board of County Commissioners
(“Board”) appointed members to serve on the Okaloosa County Tourist Development Council
(“Council”); and
WHEREAS, Michael Bass, a Lodging Industry Owner/Operator member has resigned,
leaving a vacancy that must be filled; and
WHEREAS, the Board appointed a Selection Committee to review and recommend a
qualified candidate to fill the vacant seat on the Council; and
WHEREAS, the Selection Committee convened a duly noticed public meeting on June
27, 2013, and recommended the appointment of the individual listed below; and
WHEREAS, the Board now desires to affirm the selection of and appoint the member to
serve on the Council.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the Board of County Commissioners of
Okaloosa County, Florida, that:
SECTION 1. RECITALS. The above recitals are true and correct and are hereby
incorporated herein by reference.

SECTION 2. APPOINTMENT OF LODGING INDUSTRY OWNER/OPERATOR
COUNCIL MEMBER. The Board hereby appoints RACHEL JOYCE to serve as a Lodging
Industry Owner/Operator member of the Council for a two (2) year term ending in April of 2015.
SECTION 3. EFFECTIVE DATE. This Resolution shall become effective upon its
approval.
