BACKGROUND The Community Redevelopment Plan identifies the need to upgrade and expand housing opportunities by addressing the issues of housing rehabilitation, provision of additional housing, furthering neighborhood definition and infrastructure improvements. The Budget for the CRA includes a CIP project for the Beal Parkway Neighborhood Master Plan. The CIP project provided for a consultant being hired to prepare a neighborhood plan for the Beal Parkway Neighborhood that includes identifying infrastructure improvement needs, design concepts for streetscape elements to assure neighborhood safety, as well as other elements typical of a neighborhood action plan. The process will include extensive public input. The Action Plan was anticipated to cost approximately $ 50,000, with the remaining money in the Beal Parkway Neighborhood Plan CIP project available to begin implementation of the plan ( Le. infrastructure improvements).
