E. How much time are you willing to give to this volunteer position? _Hrs per
Week/month
In my opinion this is an issue of such importance that it will affect our community for a
very long period of time. There will be enormous pressures and significant scrutiny. I am
willing to serve, along with the committee that is selected, all the time necessary to get it
right the first time.
F. Why do you want to be a member of the Okaloosa RESTORE Advisory Committee?
This is my state, my county, my community. I want to be a part of the decisions that will
affect all of us and I want to ensure fairness and community input is considered.
G. If not selected for the ORAC, are you willing to serve on a Working Group? No. I
have found most “Working Groups” to be ineffective and a waste of time. Community
input can be achieved through public meetings and submissions of ideas to the committee
as a whole or to individual members.
H. I certify that all information in this application is true and accurate. I authorize County
Staff to verify any information as they deem necessary and to contact the references I
have provided. I also understand that this is a voluntary (unpaid) position and that I will
serve at the will of the Board of County Commissioners. I further acknowledge the
ORAC falls under the Florida Sunshine Laws (e.g., | cannot discuss ORAC business with
other ORAC members outside a public meeting) and Public Records Laws and I will
comply with those requirements (ORAC members will be briefed on these requirement by
the County Attorney).
