BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS AGENDA REQUEST DATE: June 21, 2016 TO: Honorable Chairman and Members of the Board FROM: Ed Schroeder SUBJECT: Allegiant Air Media Buy Sheets June/July 2016 DEPARTMENT: Tourist Development Department BCC DISTRICT: 2,4,5 STATEMENT OF ISSUE: Request approval for Allegiant Air media buy sheet for June/July in excess of $50,000. BACKGROUND: On May 17, 2016 the Board approved a contract with Allegiant Air (C16- 2404-TDD) for paid media services. Exhibit B of the contract provides a media plan by market and media totaling $670K for the months of June and July. Exhibit A of the contract states “Actual dollar spend may shift by week, but will not exceed the quarterly total” and “The media buy sheet will be approved in accordance with the County’s procurement approval thresholds.” Media buy sheets totaling $591K have been submitted for approval for June and July, which is less than originally authorized. Media buy sheets for TV and radio are set up to mirror billing month to facilitate invoice reconciliation. Media buy sheets for out-of-home are set up based on total placement rather than month to mirror billing.
