Sheri,
Enjoyed talking with you today. Here is a form letter that I send concerning
future events. It explains who we are and how we operate. Any reduction in fees
would be appreciated.
My friends and I manage charity events to benefit wounded veterans in honor of
Jerry Reed, the Snowman from the movie Smokey and the Bandit. Jerry Reed devoted
many years of his life raising money for the Wounded Warrior Project. We travel
around America continuing his mission by doing what we do best. . . " Show off "
(to quote the Bandit) and raising money for wounded veterans. We volunteer our
services. We do not profit from our events.
On Snowman's Run, we tour with the replica Smokey and the Bandit semi truck,
along with some vintage Trans Ams. We are totally open to all vehicles and are
family oriented, We honor our vets who volunteered their services to this great
nation.
I am a Christian who strongly believes in God and Country. We believe in
honoring God and those who have served in uniform to protect our great nation.
God Bless America.
We do sell posters, t-shirts, etc and some of the money is put back into the semi
truck fund, (diesel fuel, insurance, tires, maintenance, etc.) . The rig is not
cheap to operate. The fund is also used to purchase more items to sell in the
future. I do send some of the money generated to WWP at the close of the run or
event. Our travelling expenses are paid by us, individually. My team consists of
all volunteers. No one receives a salary or expenses.
I usually set a donation bucket out at each event and that money can either go
straight to WWP or it can go to local veterans clubs, etc. for them to
distribute as they chose. I do have forms for WWP that people can send in
donations or I will mail it for them.
God bleés, Tyler
