Sewer Collections Truck No. 2343 is a 1992 Ford flatbed truck with a dump body. This truck is beyond its useful life and it is becoming increasingly difficult to find the necessary parts to keep the vehicle in operation. 2. DISCUSSION: 2. 1. During the FY 2012 -13 budget process, the City Council allocated $ 67, 167 to replace Truck No. 2343. 2. 2. Mike Davidson Ford was selected by the City of Tallahassee through a competitive solicitation process to provide vehicles for FY 2012 -13. The solicitation provides the opportunity for other governmental agencies to piggyback on the terms and pricing of the solicitation. 2. 3. On March 21, 2013, the Purchasing Division received a quote of $66, 791. 38 for a 2013 F650 regular cab flatbed dump body. 3. FINANCIAL INFORMATION: 3. 1. The price provided by Mike Davidson Ford is less than the budgeted amount of 67, 167. 00 and the money for purchase is located in Sewer Collections Account No. 401 - 1350 -535 -6404. 4. RECOMMENDATION: 4. 1. Pursuant to City of Fort Walton Beach Code of Ordinances, Volume I1, Chapter 4, Section 4.01, Paragraph 4. 01. 25 and the Purchasing Policies and Procedures, Staff respectfully recommends City Council award the purchase of the 2013 Ford F650 flatbed dump body to Mike Davidson Ford for $66, 791. 38.
