SUBJECT: Correct Omission on Blue Medicare Contract

STATEMENT OF ISSUE: This request is to authorize the Chairman to sign the Blue Medicare
contract approved at the August 6, 2013 meeting.
BACKGROUND: At the August 6, 2013 meeting the Board approved the renewal of the
employee benefits program. The Blue Medicare rate was not included on the rate sheet attached
to the agenda item dated August 6, 2013. The Blue Medicare rate decreased from $417.31 to
$275.90 per person per month.
OPTIONS: Approve/Disapprove
RECOMMENDATIONS: Authorize the Chairman to sign the Blue Medicare contract as part
of the benefits program previously approved at the August 6, 2013 meeting, effective
retroactively to 10-1-13.
