STATEMENT OF ISSUE: [PUR] Seeking Board approval to purchase one (1) 2014
Agriculture Tractor w/23’ Boom Mower from Coastal Machinery Company, Inc. (RD 47-14)
BACKGROUND & ANALYSIS: The Public Works Department has requested the purchase of
one new 2014 agriculture type tractor with a 23 foot boom mower. Bids were opened on May 7,
2014 and three (3) bids were received. Two bids met the required specifications. Coastal
Machinery Company, Inc. submitted the lowest bid to meet specifications at $121,274.55.
OPTIONS: Approve/Deny purchase of One (1) 2014 Agriculture Tractor w/23’ Boom Mower
(RD 47-14) from Coastal Machinery Company, Inc. for $121,274.55.
RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends approving purchase of One (1) 2014 Agriculture
Tractor w/23’ Boom Mower (RD 47-14) from Coastal Machinery Company, Inc. for
$121,274.55.
