Weaver; abrown@sheriff-okaloosa.org Subject: Purchase of Shaliar Property Ernie/Kelly,    Per our previous conversations and continuing efforts we have entered a contract to purchase the .75 acres across the street from our 2nd Street facility.   Said property is located in the Town of Shalimar and it is our intent to develop the property to replace equipment storage and parking that will be lost during the expansion of our 2nd Street facilities. The property is zoned commercial and according to Shalimar’s Town Attorney, Mike Chesser there is no need to re-zone the property based on our intended use. Our contract is contingent upon BOCC approval and we would like to bring this matter before the board at the earliest possible convenience.   Can we establish this as an agenda item for the April 1st BOCC meeting in Crestview.    Please advise as what we might need to proceed on this issue.
