BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS AGENDA REQUEST DATE: November 18, 2014 TO: Honorable Chairman and Members of the Board FROM: Dino J. Villani SUBJECT: 2014-2015 Emergency Medical Services (EMS) County Grant DEPARTMENT: Public Safety BCC DISTRICT: All STATEMENT OF ISSUE: Approve the FY 2014-2015 EMS County Grant application in the amount of $25,824.00 for improvement and enhancement of Emergency Medical Services within Okaloosa County. There is no match required for this grant. The funds received through the grant program will be utilized to purchase a Polaris ATV, an AED trainer/rhythm simulator, training manikin/accessories, 2 Thule truck racks, and water rescue equipment. OPTIONS: Approve/Disapprove. RECOMMENDATIONS: Adopt the resolution approving the EMS County Grant. Authorize the Chairman to sign the grant application and all other grant documents necessary during the term of the grant. RECOMMENDED BY: APPROVED BY: John Hofstad, Interim County Administrator
