STATEMENT OF ISSUE: The Board needs to consider proposed settlement agreement of
Shalimar Annex Reverter Litigation between Okaloosa County and Meigs Family Trust, and if
found acceptable, approve the agreement.
BACKGROUND: The Okaloosa Board of County Commissioners have sought to resolve legal
matters concerning the Shalimar Annex property with the Meigs Family Trust. The attached
documents provide background and offer a proposed settlement.
RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends consideration and approval of proposed settlement
agreement.
