STATEMENT OF ISSUE: Request Approval of Lease Agreement with Northwest Florida
State College (NWFSC) for Fund Raiser for American Heart Association.
BACKGROUND & ANALYSIS: The Okaloosa County Public Safety Department holds an
annual Fun Run to raise funds for the American Heart Association’s Heart Walk. This year’s
event will be held on August 23, 2014 at NWFSC. There is no cost to the County, however,
NWFSC requires a Lease Agreement for use of their facilities. Per section G (B) 5 of the
Purchasing Manual, all leases must be approved and executed by the Board.
OPTIONS: Approve/Disapprove the Lease Agreement with NWFSC and for the Chairman to
sign the Lease Agreement.
RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends approval of Lease Agreement with NWFSC and for
the Chairman to sign the Lease Agreement.
