STATEMENT OF ISSUE: Request Board approval to purchase four (4) ambulances from the
Florida Sheriff’s Association Contract #15-11-00116 for a total cost of $528,745.00.
BACKGROUND & ANALYSIS: Public Safety requested the purchase of four (4) new 2015
ambulances. These ambulances were approved during the budget process. Staff researched the
availability of the ambulances on the Florida Sheriff’s Association (FSA) Contract #15-11-
00116. The funding for this purchase is provided for in the FY15 Budget, Account #4500-
564211 and the Florida Department of Health State EMS Award Grant, Account # 741551-
564211.
Three (3) of the units are 2015 Type III Chevrolet 4500 Diesel vehicles;
