STATEMENT OF ISSUE: This agenda item seeks Board of County Commissioners approval
and adoption of the attached Aviation Advisory Committee Policy.
BACKGROUND: On July 28, 1992, the Board established the Aviation Advisory Committee
(AAC) to assist the County in reviewing proposed tall structures/facilities that have potential to
impact military and civilian aviation activities within the County.
The attached Aviation Advisory Committee Policy establishes AAC's purpose, responsibilities,
membership, meeting schedule and rules of procedures. Further, the Policy requires Committee
members to participate in a Sunshine Law, Public Records and Ethics presentation.
OPTIONS: Approve, Disapprove or Reject.
RECOMMENDATIONS: Approve the Aviation Advisory Committee Policy.
