BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS AGENDA REQUEST DATE: September 1, 2015 TO: Honorable Chairman and Members of the Board FROM: Ed Schroeder SUBJECT: Monthly Reconciliation of Promotional Reserves DEPARTMENT: Tourist Development Department BCC DISTRICT: 2,4,5 STATEMENT OF ISSUE: Providing the monthly reconciliation of the use of promotional reserve funds. BACKGROUND: Per the adopted FY15 Strategic Marketing Plan: “Promotional Reserve funds may be appropriated in accordance with County approval authority and with concurrence of the TDC Chairman. A monthly reconciliation of the use of promotional reserve funds will be provided to the TDC and BCC for informational purposes.” Promotional reserves in the amount of $100,000 were budgeted, of which $99,445 has been previously appropriated. Promotional reserves in the amount of $555 remain available for appropriation. The County has been offered an opportunity to air the Emerald Coast Dining Video in Episode #2 of Dish Worth the Drive: Southern Eats at a cost of $2,500. Reallocation of $2,500 from the Florida Golf Guide sweepstakes (which did not occur because the vendor was unable to provide the requisite information and documentation) to Dish Worth the Drive will be presented to the TDC on August 27. Promotional reserves in the amount of $555 still remain available for appropriation. OPTIONS: N/A RECOMMENDATION: For informational purposes only; no action required.
