ordinance to extend the territorial limits of the City of Fort Walton Beach, Florida, by annexing a tract of land to said City under the provisions of the aforesaid law, and WHEREAS, the said Ordinance was duly approved by the Mayor of the City of Fort Walton Beach, Florida; and WHEREAS, acting pursuant to Chapter 171. 04 Florida Statutes, the City of Fort Walton Beach did cause to be published in t;ne Playground Daily News, a newspaper of general circulation published in 1: he City of Fort Walton Beach, the said ordinance declaring the intention of the City of Fort Walton Beach to annex the said property to said City, said ordinance being published for four ( 4) consecutive weeks in said news- paper; and WHEREAS, it has been determined by the City Council. that the tract of land described hereinafter contains less than ten ( 10) voters, and the said tract of land constitutes a reasonable compact addition to the present inorporated limits of the City of Fort Walton Beach; and WHEREAS, it is deemed advantageous both to the City of Fort Walton Beach, Florida, and to the owner of the tract of land described hereinafter that the same be made a part of the territorial limits of the City of Fort Walton Beach, Florida, so that all municipal services and 66  protection may be furnished to said developed area; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT R- BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WALTON BEACH, FLORIDA: SECTION 1. That there is hereby annexed to the territorial limits of the City of Fort Walton Beach, Florida, the following des- cribed property in Okaloosa County, Florida, to -wit: CAST 4" - The Northwa-st quarter of the Southeast quarter and the East half of the North- west quarter of the Southeast quarter of Section 35, Township 1 South, Range 24 West Okaloosa County, Florida. SECTION 2. The City Limits of Fort Walton Beach are hereby extended to include the aforesaid tract of land within the said City Limits. SECTION 3. AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING TO THE TERRITORIAL LIMITS OF THE CITY FORT WALTON BEACH, FLORIDA, OF CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY SITUATE, LYING AND BEING IN OKALOOSA COUNTY, FLORIDA, AND RE- DEFINING THE BOUNDARY LINES FOR THE CITY OF FORT WALTON BEACH, FLORIDA. WHEREAS, Chapter 171. 04, Florida Statutes, provides a method for the extension of the territorial limits of cities or towns incorporated under the general laws of the State of Florida, and WHEREAS, pursuant to Chapter 171. 04, Florida Statutes, the City Council of the City of Fort Walton Beach, Florida, did on June 8, 1965, duly pass and adopt an ordinance to extend the ter- ritorial limits of the City of Fort Walton Beach, Florida, by an- nexing a tract of land to said City under the provisions of the aforesaid law, and WHEREAS, said ordinance was duly approved by the Mayor of the City of Fort Walton Beach, Florida, and WHEREAS, acting pursuant to Chapter 171. 04, Florida. That there is hereby annexed to the territorial limits of the City of Fort Walton Beach, Florida, the following Florida, to -wit: described property in Okaloosa County, Beginning at the Northwest corner of Lot 1, Section 12, Township East 502 feet to the West side of State Road 85 thence angle right 2 South, Range 24 West, thencell5° 13' and run south- westerly along said road 11 feet to the point of beginning of the tract of land herein described, thence continue South- westerly along West side of said road 154 feet, thence angle . right 900 00' and run northwesterly 150 feet, thence angle right 900 00' and run northwesterly 83. 31 feet to a point 10 feet South of the North line of said Lot 1, thence East parallel with said North line 165. 78 feet to the point of beginning. SECTION 2. The City Limits of Fort Walton Beach are hereby extended to include the aforesaid tract of land within the said City Limits. SECTION 3.
