On November 13, 2001, City Council adopted Resolution 2001 -28, amending the Comprehensive Fee Schedule. 1. 2. This amendment was intended to add a Lifeline Rate to the Water and Wastewater rate structure of 0 — 2, 000 gallons to the Comprehensive Fee Schedule. 1. 3. Prior to this, the City did not have a Lifeline Rate, but for billing purposes considered the " base rate" 0 — 4, 000 gallons. 2. DISCUSSION: 2. 1. Section 10. 52. 04, Bases of Monthly Charges, of the Code of Ordinances, refers to the base rate of 4,000 gallons. 2. 2. Although the intent of Resolution 2001 -28 was to add the Lifeline Rate of 0 — 2000 gallons, this change required an Ordinance amendment that was not prepared. 3. FINANCIAL INFORMATION 3. 1. There is no financial impact, as this Ordinance simply updates Section 10. 52. 04 to reflect current billing practices in effect since FY 2001 -02.. 4. RECOMMENDATION 4. 1. Staff respectfully requests City Council adoption of Ordinance No. 1820, amending Section 10. 52. 04, Bases of Monthly Charges, to update the Code of Ordinances to reflect current billing practices. 5.
